To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'avguix' = '<SYSTEM32>\avguix.exe'
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe add "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" /v avguix /t REG_SZ /d %WINDIR%"\system32\avguix.exe" /f
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <DRIVERS>\etc\hosts2
- %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\69I9OPW5\mgtn[1].txt
- <SYSTEM32>\avguix.exe
Deletes the following files:
- <DRIVERS>\etc\hosts2
- <DRIVERS>\etc\hosts
Substitutes the HOSTS file.

- 'localhost':1036
