Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%TEMP%\Intel.exe' = '%TEMP%\Intel.exe:*:Enabled:Intel.exe'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\Intel.exe'
- '%TEMP%\windowsmediaplayer.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%TEMP%\Intel.exe" "Intel.exe" ENABLE
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\Intel.exe
- %TEMP%\wnBLuuh
- %TEMP%\windowsmediaplayer.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'es###.hopto.org':1177
UDP:
- DNS ASK es###.hopto.org
