To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] '.exe' = '"%TEMP%\.exe"'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] '18.exe' = '%APPDATA%Microsoft\System\Services\18.exe'
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\.exe'
- '%APPDATA%\service.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\ping.exe' 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 3
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /C ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 3 > Nul & Del "%APPDATA%\service.exe"&"%TEMP%\.exe"
Modifies file system:
Creates the following files:
- %TEMP%\.exe
- %APPDATA%Microsoft\System\Services\18.exe
- %APPDATA%\service.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- %TEMP%\.exe
Deletes the following files:
- %APPDATA%\service.exe
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'bo###.dlinkddns.com':4431
UDP:
- DNS ASK bo###.dlinkddns.com
