To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'SysCore' = '%APPDATA%\hidserv.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'SysCore' = '%APPDATA%\hidserv.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'crr.dll' = '%APPDATA%\windefender\run.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\DFGDFJJJJDFJDFJGFDJTURTURUTJJF\DFG-2352-26235-2322322-624621221-2622255\explorer.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\DFGDFJJJJDFJDFJGFDJTURTURUTJJF\DFG-2352-26235-2322322-624621221-2622255\Desktop.ini
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- %APPDATA%\windefender\run.exe
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe ADD "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run" /v "crr.dll" /t REG_SZ /d "%APPDATA%\windefender\run.exe" /f
- <SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe /c """%TEMP%\rlMek.bat"" "
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\hidserv.exe
- %APPDATA%\windefender\run.exe
- %TEMP%\rlMek.bat
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\DFGDFJJJJDFJDFJGFDJTURTURUTJJF\DFG-2352-26235-2322322-624621221-2622255\explorer.exe
- %APPDATA%\hidserv.exe
- %APPDATA%\windefender\run.exe
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\rlMek.bat
