Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'spoolsvt' = '%WINDIR%\spoolsvt.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf +H +R +A
- <SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe <Drive name for removable media>:\spoolsvt.exe +H +R +A
- <SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf -H -R -A
- <SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe %WINDIR%\spoolsvt.exe +H +R +A
- <SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe %WINDIR%\autorun.inf -H -R -A
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %WINDIR%\autorun.inf
- <Current directory>\WINXP.LOG
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
